Welcome

We LOVE new students! Nashville Yoga Co is specially designed for any body type and all levels of yoga practitioners. Our practice allows a complete mind and body escape. You will notice more tone, flexibility and an ability to focus. With a consistent practice you will notice an overall improved state of mind (must be 18 or older to attend classes. Ages 16 and 17 are welcome with a signed parent waiver).

New students get two weeks of unlimited yoga for $34! Purchase online or in studio.

Preparations

Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the class you wish to take.  You will need to fill out a quick registration form and discuss any injuries/health issues with your instructor prior to class. Wear what you feel good sweating in. Breathable fabric is preferred. No shoes are needed in practice room.

Come to class hydrated.  Make sure you have water throughout your day before you practice and remember to drink plenty of water after your practice to stay hydrated. Water can be purchased in studio or bring a bottle to use. Electrolyte drinks can also be helpful before, during or after your practice.

Come to class on an empty stomach.  Allowing a couple hours to pass after your last meal before your practice is highly recommended. Some people require more or less time so you need to see what works best for you.

Bring a yoga mat, long towel and water.  Each student is recommended to have all three while practicing. Feel free to bring your own or rent/purchase from the studio.

Hot Room Etiquette:  Enter and exit quietly as others will be meditating and preparing for their class. Always take breaks whenever you feel necessary by laying down or sitting quietly on your mat. Please avoid entering and exiting the room during class. Plan to stay for the entire class to avoid disruption to other clients and the instructor. Do not take phones, keys, hats or other personal items into the yoga room. Turn off smart-watch ringers/vibrations. Use the time to reconnect to you.

Yoga is a life long practice.  Yoga is meant for all ages and all types of people with all types of bodies. All of our classes are open to beginners and the more seasoned yogi alike. As long as you are focused on your breath and doing the best you can, you will receive the benefits of your practice. Each body is different and each practice is different. Have fun and love your badass self simply for showing up, the rest will follow over time.

Practice regularly.  A consistent practice allows you to receive maximum benefits. You will still receive these benefits with a reduced amount of time, it just may take a little longer.
