Workshop Description
True confidence comes from your core - your center of power - and this workshop reveals how to create strength and definition through the full circumference of your mid-section. Takeaways for experienced yogis and new practitioners alike will include:
• Fire up your abdominals, spinal muscles and hips more efficiently in key yoga postures and transitions, so the more you practice, your core grows stronger.
• Engage deep spinal muscles using simple, Pilates-influenced moves that protect your back and develop a safer practice.
• Learn my favorite yoga core strengtheners, how to put them into your practice and actually look forward to doing them.
The workshop will include a complete yoga practice amplifying the discussion and demonstration right away in your own body.
About the Instructor
Stephanie Bleecher is a Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher with experience at esteemed studios nationwide – including Nashville Yoga Company in her hometown. She holds a RYT-500 Certification from Jason Crandell Yoga, a high-level credential offered by the Yoga Alliance (the governing body for yoga internationally). Stephanie also has a classical Pilates background and teaches the challenging Core HIIT class at NYCo. Her continuing education credits include Trauma-Informed Yoga from Gary Kraftsow of the Viniyoga Institute, Firefly Yoga International and Y12SR (Yoga for 12 Step Recovery). All in all she has taught over 2,000 yoga classes since 2014 to students with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience. She lives in Franklin TN with her husband, Rich, and three Tibetan Terriers – Gampo, Kitsi and Tsering.
